In face of sustainable development, Green Intlpak continues to optimize resource utilization
Green Intlpak hopes to provide customers with comprehensive packaging solutions and at the same time promote a sustainable ecosystem not just for our customers but also for their customers. Therefore, in the selection of raw materials, we have taken actions such as:
Since 2018, we halted purchasing pulps from conflict areas. For example, stopping buying Iran's sugarcane pulp board.
Since 2020, only pulp boards that have world certifications such as Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) control wood or equivalent are eligible to be used in the production.
In 2022, we ceased buying pulps from Russia.
In 2022, Green Intlpak is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®)
We expect the importance of plant fibers in single-use packaging to increase due to their renewability, recyclability, and natural decomposition properties.
However, the unrestricted use of plants may also lead to conflicts such as increasing competition of arable land, land development, deforestation, loss of habitat for other species, etc. By obtaining Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification, we promised to use pulps verified by certified units to reduce the impact on natural forest and to promote the restoration and protection of natural forests.
In face of sustainable development, Green Intlpak continues to optimize resource utilization, which we believe is the best and most sustainable way in the fight against climate change
Reducing water consumption during production process is a major issue in the industry. In mid-2020, Green Intlpak introduced a water treatment system with aims to maintain water quality and reduce wastes. After one year’s experiment and test, we are proud to show that our average monthly discharge is reduced from of 1,240 tons of wastewater in 2019 to 380 tons of wastewater in 2021, a 30% reduction. However, this is just a beginning for Green Intlpak. We will continue to innovate and position ourselves as a pioneer in the pursuit of a sustainable life for all.
